KingSumo is the cheapest tool in this comparison by a distance, and the pricing model is the reason: $49 once, for life, listed against a struck-through $228. Everything else follows from what that $49 buys — a giveaway page you host or embed, not a way to read the comments on a social post.
What the free tier already includes
Unusually, most of the product is in the free plan: unlimited giveaways, bonus entries, multiple prizes and winners, auto-reminder emails, embedding on any site, GDPR handling, translation. The paid licence adds custom branding, tracking pixels, conversion tracking, custom rules and extra entry fields, and removes the sponsored entry.
For a blog or a newsletter running list-building giveaways, that free tier is genuinely enough, and saying otherwise would be dishonest.
What it does not do
KingSumo never reads a comment. Entrants land on the giveaway page, submit their details, and earn bonus entries for sharing. The comment-limit row therefore says it does not do this, rather than showing a number that would imply a comparison that is not happening.
Two more rows are marked not published, checked 28 August 2026: which networks it works with, and what proof of the draw the entrant gets. Their pricing page doubles as their feature list, and neither appears on it; the pages at /features and /how-it-works do not exist.
The prices, as published
KingSumo: free, or $49 once for the lifetime plan. Lukky: €9.99 a month, or €39.99 a year, with one free draw a week and no entry limit at any tier. The pricing page has the detail.
Over three years KingSumo costs $49 and Lukky about €120. If price is the deciding factor and a giveaway page on your own site does the job, the arithmetic is not close.
The arithmetic changes only if the giveaway has to happen where your audience already is. A page on your own domain needs traffic sent to it; a post on Instagram is already in front of the people who follow you, and every comment on it is a signal the platform counts. That is what you are paying a subscription for, and it is worth nothing to someone whose audience is an email list.
Who should take which
Take KingSumo if your giveaway lives on your own site, if list building is the point, if you send reminder emails, or if a subscription is simply not something you want.
Take Lukky if the giveaway lives in the comments of an Instagram or Facebook post, if you want the draw itself certified and checkable, and if your reach on social is what the giveaway is for.
Lukky and KingSumo, point by point

FAQ
- Is KingSumo really free?
- Yes, and the free plan covers unlimited giveaways, bonus entries and multiple winners. The $49 lifetime licence adds branding, tracking and custom rules. Checked 28 August 2026.
- Can KingSumo pick a winner from Instagram comments?
- No. Entries are submitted on the giveaway page you embed or host.
- Does KingSumo issue a proof of the draw?
- Their pricing page, which is also their feature list, says nothing about it. Marked not published rather than assumed.
- Is Lukky worth a subscription when KingSumo is $49 once?
- Only if you need what KingSumo does not do: reading comments on a social post, and a certificate your entrants can open.
