In short

Lukky reads the comments on your Instagram or Facebook post, drops duplicate entries, picks a winner at random and issues a timestamped certificate anyone can check. It is a native app approved by Meta: it signs in through the official authorisation flow and never asks for your password. One draw a week is free; beyond that, Pro is €9.99 a month.

A comment picker collects every comment on a post, removes the entries that break your own rules, and names one at random. The picking is the easy part — any tool can shuffle a list. What separates them is whether your entrants can check the result, and whether the tool reaches your comments in a way Instagram actually sanctions.

How does an Instagram comment picker work?

Three steps, and the third is the one that decides whether anybody believes you.

Collecting the entries. Every comment is an entry. One account that comments fifteen times is still one person: if your rules say one entry per person, those fourteen extra comments have to go before the draw, not after somebody complains.

Picking. A fair draw is one nobody can steer, you included. Scrolling a comment list and stopping on a name is not a draw, and a spreadsheet is not much better — the organiser sees the list before picking.

Publishing the proof. Announcing a name proves nothing. What ends the accusations is a timestamped result any entrant can open: which post, which day, how many entries were kept, who won. Lukky produces that certificate at the end of every draw.

Most web comment pickers ask you to paste a post URL, and some ask you to sign in outside Meta's own authorisation flow. That is where two problems start.

The first is access. A scraper that reads a public page breaks the day Instagram changes its markup, and it cannot see anything on a private or restricted account. Lukky is a native app approved by Meta: it signs in through the official Instagram and Facebook login, stores no password, and reads entries through the official APIs. Nothing depends on an extractor that stops working next month.

The second is proof. A web tool that shows you a spinning wheel in your own browser has shown you a result. It has shown your entrants nothing.

More than 2.5 million draws have been run from the app, across more than 300 million entries, at 4.6/5 on the App Store.

What the free plan covers

One draw a week, one winner, unlimited entries, no card. That is enough for a one-off giveaway, and it is the whole point of the free plan — you should be able to run a real draw before deciding anything.

Pro is €9.99 a month, or €39.99 a year. It lifts the weekly limit, goes up to 100 winners in a single draw, connects five social accounts, draws across Instagram and Facebook at once, schedules a draw in advance, puts your brand's colours on the announcement animation and lets you message winners without leaving the app. The line-by-line difference is on the pricing page.

FAQ

Is there a free Instagram comment picker?
Yes. Lukky's free plan runs one draw a week, with one winner, unlimited entries and no card. Past one draw a week you need Pro.
How do I prove the draw was not rigged?
By publishing something other than a name. Lukky issues a timestamped certificate at the end of each draw — the post, the date, the number of entries kept and the winner — that anyone can open. Your entrants check for themselves instead of trusting you.
Do duplicate comments count more than once?
Not if you turn the filter on. Lukky then keeps one entry per account, which is what most published rules promise. You can also let every comment count, if that is what your rules say.
Can I draw from an Instagram and a Facebook post at the same time?
Yes, on Pro. One draw then covers the comments on both posts, so you do not end up with two winners where your rules announced one.
Does it work on a Reel or a photo post?
Yes. The draw reads the comments on the post you pick, whatever its format, as long as the account is one you have connected through the official Meta login.
